Meet Sasha

Sasha Loberg grew up in Warwick, NY where she discovered a love of dance and movement through training at The Dancer’s Studio. She furthered her modern dance training with Soaring Dance Theatre in Monroe, NY. Sasha went on to study International Relations at Goucher College in Baltimore, MD, where she continued to dance and expand her awareness of various forms of dance and movement techniques. It was here that she was exposed to Pilates and began to understand its logical connection to dance.

After years of physical therapy and various interventions for scoliosis, it was through a consistent Pilates practice that she was able to find relief from lingering pain. She earned a 600-hr Comprehensive Certification of the Classical Method from The Warwick Pilates Gymnasium in 2019. She has a certificate from the Somaphyx Pro Mentorship for Pilates Professionals and currently studies under the direction of Cynthia Shipley at Lifespan Pilates in NYC.

Sasha has a keen interest in helping those with chronic pain and body imbalances develop the alignment and strength necessary to help overcome those challenges. She enjoys expanding her students’ familiarity with Classical Pilates as Joseph Pilates intended while also incorporating more modern movement science to broaden the possibilities for learning and engaging with the body. She uses frequent hands-on adjustments to help her clients feel deeper engagement and ultimately get more out of the work.

"You will feel better in 10 sessions, look better in 20 sessions, and have a completely new body in 30 sessions."

What is Classical Pilates?

Pilates is a movement practice developed by German physical trainer Joseph Pilates in the early 1900s. The method focused on improving alignment, strength, flexibility and overall body-mind awareness. Students can expect to gain a stronger mind-body connection by learning specific movements and breathing patterns designed to help bodies age smarter and stronger. Exercises are done on the mat and on various pieces of equipment utilizing springs, bars, light hand weights and more. Pilates can be particularly helpful for people looking to strengthen and increase mobility post-injury. Many students find that Pilates is a logical continuation of physical therapy and seek lessons after completing a formalized physical therapy regimen. Continuous practice will bring ease of movement and strength to one’s daily activities. Students report feeling taller and able to function with an increased range of motion throughout many activities.

What is your cancellation policy?

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy for private and semi-private sessions and a 12-hour cancellation policy for group mat classes. Cancellations can be made by yourself online, by phone, or by email. Please note that we do not accept cancellations via Facebook or Instagram.

Can I book Pilates with friends?

Absolutely! We call these Semi-Private Pilates sessions. Whether a duo or trio, we have enough equipment to offer a challenging workout for everyone involved, but the intimate group experience allows us to provide individual feedback to each participant. Please reach out to the studio directly by phone (845-202-3270) or email to book Semi-Private sessions.

Where do I park?

When you arrive at 28 Church Street, follow the driveway straight back. The entrance to the studio is on the side of the building - enter Suite 16. There will be signage to direct you and there is parking directly in front of the studio entrance. Additional parking is in front of the building and you can walk around to the studio entrance.

How do I schedule a session?

You can schedule all of our services online via our website or by reaching out to us directly by phone or by email. Booking online allows you to manage your account information, upcoming schedule, and payment methods all from one convenient location, all under your control.

What should I wear to Pilates?

Wear comfortable athletic clothes that are easy to move in, similar to what you would wear to yoga or other low impact workouts. Clothes that are more form fitting will allow your instructor to better see your form as you move. Please protect our equipment - avoid clothes with zippers! Please be mindful of your neighbors - avoid strong fragrances. Grip socks are required.

Is there an age limit to take Pilates?

Yes, for the safety of a still-developing musculoskeletal system, the minimum age for group mat classes is 13. Clients 17 and under must have a parent or guardian sign their waiver in order to participate. We do accept younger clients for private sessions on a case-by-case basis to create a program tailored to their needs.
